A Quick Tour of CecoPRO

Open the Project Information screen by selecting the first icon from the toolbar. Select the State and County of your jobsite and select a Project Status option. Then click Next to move through the rest of the tabs until you return to the main application window.

Open the Building Codes screen by selecting the second icon from the toolbar. Choose the Project Use Category and Building Code. Then press the Apply Minimums button. Click Next to fill in your code criteria on the Wind/Snow and Seismic Tabs. Continue to click Next until you return to the main application window.

Open the Add Building input screen by selecting the third icon from the toolbar. This step involves the most input. Don’t worry about missing a step, however; CecoPRO will prompt you for all required data before letting you exit the Building Input screens. You will begin this process by selecting a Building Name and Frame Type. Next, describe the Building Geometry and Bay Spacing. You will notice that some of the options have been filled in for you (according to your current Default Settings). Keep clicking Next to move through all the tabs on the Building Input screen while selecting the desired parameters for your building. On the last tab, named Loads, choose options for the Wind Enclosure, Occupancy, and Topography. Then click the OK button to return to the main application window. If you have missed anything, CecoPRO will prompt you to go back and select those options.

Now that you have completed these three basic steps, CecoPRO is ready to price the project. Then, you can view reports or create drawings. Or you can continue to add accessories or input another building.
