To meet the owner’s requirements for durability, fire safety and cleanliness, the Longwood Foaling Barn is a mixture of steel and block construction. This cross shaped stable distinctively designed to deliver future horse racing champions is as thoroughbred as the equine mares that get the royal treatment in this special facility. The barn has 20 holding stalls featuring tongue and groove oak panels that allow a typical 12’ x 12’ stall to be doubled in size to give a confined horse more movement. Four foaling stalls are 16’ x 16’ to allow for plenty of room. The foaling barn is an impressive structure adding a stately appearance to Spring Hill Farms.
