The Challenge:

The 450 members of First Baptist Church in Wimberley, Texas, were eager to move to their new location in the heart of Texas Hill Country not only because they needed more room, but because the purchaser of their old facility had given them a specific time limit in which to relocate.

The Solution:

Streamlining Construction with a Ceco Metal Building System
COSCO and Associates, Inc. of Crestview, Florida, a design/build construction company that specializes in places of worship, busily got to work. The company teamed with Ceco Building Systems to take on the challenge of erecting a beautiful worship facility with the “Hill Country” look and environmentally responsible features the congregation requested, on budget—and on time. After all, using a Ceco metal building systemensured the fast and efficient erection necessary for the limited time frame.

Completing the Look with Local Materials
To achieve the “Hill Country” aesthetic, COSCO applied local materials, including Austin cut-stone and exposed cedar, to the church’s custom-designed Ceco steel structure. Just one example of the architectural and design options made possible with a Ceco metal building system.

Beautiful on the inside and out, this place of worship was built with sensitivity to the church’s budget and completed within the critical timeframe. This congregation not only received the structure they needed for worship and education ministries with the Hill Country look they desired, but COSCO also managed to accommodate a variety of green features the church requested to promote environmental stewardship, such as enormous rainwater collection tanks to meet the congregation’s water supply needs.
