IMP Installation Certification Course
Starting in 2026, Cornerstone will no longer be offering certified installer IMP training. We will instead require that builders become certified with the appropriate vendor partner.
To view each vendor’s certified installer training schedule, please visit the appropriate vendor website listed below. Registration for these classes should be completed through the vendor’s website as well.
2026 IMP Installer Training Clarifications:
- Cornerstone Field Service & warranty requirements:
- Standard III Weathertightness warranties require a certified installer but do not require inspection like the Single Source Weathertightness warranties.
- For Standard III Weathertightness warranties, the installer will be required to attend the appropriate vendor’s certified IMP installer training.
- For Single Source Weathertightness warranties, the installer will be required to attend the appropriate vendor’s certified IMP installer training AND a Cornerstone Buildings Brands Field Service Tech will need to complete an on-site training, specific for that project, at the 1st inspection prior to beginning installation of the roof panels.
- More information on our warranties can be found here: Warranties
- Vendor Partner Certified IMP Installer Training Program Clarifications:
- Metl-Span and AWIP will NOT certify builders using VIRTUAL trainings, thus, an in-person training is required to become certified with these vendors. The virtual trainings are for reference and education purposes only.
- Kingspan will Certify builders based on BOTH Virtual and In-Person installer trainings.
- Falk currently does not have a fully certified program in place. However, when a customer has a 20-year WTW, FALK will provide an online training (PowerPoint). FALK will try to be on site when first panels are installed, and photos will be required during installation. A final inspection by a FALK rep or an approved inspection company will be required.
