Mesaba Airplane Hangar

Mesaba Airlines Hangar at Des Moines International Airport is comprised of 80,000 sq. ft.: 65,000 sq. ft. of open hangar space and 15,000 sq. ft. for offices, shops for parts and storage. The $11.8 million hangar was built by the City of Des Moines and is being leased to Mesaba Airlines, a Northwest Airlines subsidiary. It serves as a regional maintenance facility to support Mesaba’s fleet of 50-seat Bombardier CRJ200 and 76-seat CRJ900 aircraft.
